China West Film Studio in Ningxia: Located 30 kilometers northwest of Yinchuan, China West Film Studio boasts to be the best place for shooting the outdoor scenes of Western China and Ancient China theme movies. Many smash Chinese movies marched toward the world from here, including 'Red Sorghum' and 'A Chinese Odyssey'.

In ancient times, Helan mountain is the homeland of northern China minorities include Huns, Xianbei, Tujue, Uighur, and Tibet. They carved the scenes of their daily lives on the stones of the mountain 3,000 to 10,000 years ago. The pictures reappear the aesthetic taste, social customs, and lifestyle of ancient people. On the 220 km mountain range, there are more than 20 spots of rock paintings. The contents of the rock paintings include forest-steppe animals, grassland animals and human head portraits. The most classic ones are located in the Helan Pass. Helan Mountain Rock Paintings have abundant contents and painting styles, and they are vivid and full of imagination. The paintings bring us precious information about ancient human beings and enjoyment of art.

If you would like to experience authentic local life, Huaiyuan Night Market is definitely on your travel list. You will be able to try Huaiyuan Latiao, fried egg, beef pancake, lamb skewer, etc.

Its Imperial Tombs reflect the past glories culturally and militarily. Since June 1972, nine imperial tombs and 253 lesser tombs have been unearthed, which are as grand as Ming Tombs in Beijing. With a total area of more than 50 square kilometers (19.3 square miles), it is unique among royal burials. The layout is patterned after the celestial bodies.

Tonghu Grassland, well known as "Eden in the desert", is endowed with a vast expanse of Tengger desert, grassland, lakes, and camel-shaped sand dunes which are all harmoniously combined and look like a fine picture portraited by mother nature. You will surely be fascinated by its beauty and fail to find a proper adjective to describe what you have seen. In Tonghu Grassland you will find many yurts of the Mongolian people. Sliding down the sand dune gives one the ethereal feeling of descending from the sky. The peculiar geological structure of the place causes the sand to emit a resonance that reverberates like the tolling of a huge bell or the beating of a big drum. Limpid water flows gently in a knee-deep stream at the foot of the dune.

Tourist scenic bus: 30 CNY/pax
